Annual Fund

The 2009-2010 Annual Fund: Supporting the St. Anselm's Experience

Each year, St. Anselm’s Abbey School relies on the generous support of our school community to help us provide the best possible Benedictine education to a diverse group of gifted young men. The Annual Fund, the school’s primary fundraising drive each year, makes it possible for us to keep tuition down while continuing to expand our curriculum and enrich the St. Anselm’s Experience.

Your Participation Counts

Strong Annual Fund participation is a sign of a tight-knit and supportive school community. It is our hope that all members of the St. Anselm’s community—parents, alumni, past parents, grandparents and other friends—will participate in this fund drive at whatever level is most comfortable for them. In 2009-2010, we have made it a goal to achieve 100% participation from our current parent community while significantly increasing participation levels among past parents, alumni and others.

Every Gift Makes a Difference

In the past, gifts to the Annual Fund have ranged from $5 to more than $10,000. No matter how much you choose to give, your participation serves as a tangible show of support for the monks, faculty and mission of St. Anselm’s Abbey School. Even a small gift can have a significant impact!

Designating Your Gift

You may direct your gift to the 2009-2010 Annual Fund to any of three categories:

Overall School Budget
Annual Fund gifts help fund the portion of our operating budget not covered by tuition. These gifts allow us to expand our academic and extracurricular programs while attracting and retaining qualified, dedicated teachers. Annual Fund gifts also help pay for technological and safety enhancements to our campus.

Current-Year Financial Aid
St. Anselm’s is committed to remaining accessible to all academically gifted young men, regardless  of their family’s financial circumstances. This year, our financial aid budget has increased by 22% as families demonstrate an increased need; 76 students—roughly one-third of the student body—are receiving over $720,000 in aid. Your donations are crucial to maintaining this commitment to accessibility.

Support of the Monastic Community
The Benedictine monks of St. Anselm’s Abbey founded our school in 1942 and continue to play a vital role in our school community. Financial needs at the Abbey include improvements to the Abbey Church as well as improved accessibility for aging members of the community.
